I am currently working on developing a Crider Family Crest. This is difficult to do, trying to put all the important information into what my family stands for and what I want to pass along to my boys.
This is work in progress so I am using this page to keep the information until I am ready to design the crest.

Honor-the quality of being honorable and having a good name, respect
It is important to maintain a good name for you and your family. Being honorable means respecting yourself and other. You dictate this in the way you live your life. Never let anyone affect your opinion of yourself. You decide how your feel about yourself. No one else should have this control over you.
Honesty-refers to a facet of moral character and denotes positive, virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, and straightforwardness along with the absence of lying, cheating, or theft. You must be an honest man. Having personal integrity means doing the right things all the time, not just when it is easy or when someone is watching. A man of integrity does the right things when no one is watching.
Courage-is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk/danger, uncertainty, or intimidation with the right attitude. It is acceptable to be afraid but the brave man acknowledges fear and deals with it. He continues to act with integrity in the face of fear.
Leadership- Lead yourself first and then it is easier to lead other. A true leader has integrity and treats other the way they should be treated.
Positive Attitude- maintaining a positive attitude always, throughout all that life throws at you is a key to living a successful life. Your attitude affects all aspects of your life and how other view you.
Team- Surround yourself with a quality Life Team. If you have people who love, honor and respect you this will serve you well in life. Having family and friends that you can trust and count on no matter what the situation helps you to survive in the world and find joy in your life. Appreciate the members of your Life Team and give them unconditional love and support, no matter what!
Faith-There is something larger than us. You are part of a world that is connected by some higher being. In my opinion, God should be the focal point of your life and following his word (the Bible) should drive your life and the decisions that you make.
